1. Who we are and what this policy covers

YafOne Educational Institute ("YafOne", "we", "us" or "our") provides NEET-focused learning resources, practice questions, previous-year questions, timed tests, performance analysis and related student services.

This policy applies to yafone.in, associated YafOne pages and subdomains, and the YafOne Android application with package name in.yafone.app. The Android application displays YafOne's secure website inside an Android WebView.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: student name, email address, phone number, username and encrypted/hashed authentication credentials.
• Profile information: an optional profile photograph or other information you choose to add.
• Learning and test information: selected subjects or lessons, answers, marked-for-review choices, scores, results, attempt history, time spent, achievements and progress.
• Support information: messages, feedback and information you send when contacting YafOne.

Information collected automatically

• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser or WebView type, device/operating-system information, timestamps, pages visited, basic diagnostic data and security logs.
• Cookies and local storage: session cookies and similar storage used for login, saved progress, preferences, security and essential functionality.

Android application access

The Android application uses internet and network-state access so it can load YafOne. It does not request access to contacts, SMS, call logs, precise location, microphone or advertising ID. If you choose a file or image for upload, only the item you explicitly select through the device picker is provided to YafOne.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create, authenticate and secure user accounts.
• Deliver practice questions, tests, results, history, achievements and progress features.
• Save test answers and allow eligible users to continue an active test.
• Operate leaderboards and champion features where the user participates.
• Provide customer support and respond to requests.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve YafOne's reliability, usability and security.
• Detect misuse, fraud, attacks and violations of our terms.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, email, security, analytics or technical-support providers that process data for YafOne under appropriate safeguards.
• User-directed or public features: information such as a display name, profile image and score may appear on a leaderboard or champion feature when you participate in that feature.
• Legal and safety reasons: where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect users, YafOne and the public.
• Business changes: as part of a lawful reorganisation, merger or transfer, subject to appropriate notice and protection.

YafOne does not currently serve third-party behavioural advertisements in the Android application. If this changes, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before such processing begins.

5. Data retention

We retain account and learning information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide YafOne. Some test, security, backup and transaction logs may be retained for a limited period for reliability, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal compliance.

When an account-deletion request is completed, personal information linked to the account is deleted or anonymised unless retention is required by law, needed to prevent fraud or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten.

6. Security

YafOne uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards. Data is transmitted using HTTPS, access is restricted, and passwords are not intended to be stored in readable plain text. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should use a strong, unique password and protect access to their device and email account.

7. Your choices, access and account deletion

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with your YafOne account. You may also ask questions about how information is used.

We may ask for reasonable verification to protect the account from unauthorised deletion. After verification, we will process the request within a reasonable period and explain if any limited information must be retained for lawful reasons.

8. Children and younger students

YafOne is designed for students preparing for NEET and is not directed to children under 13. A user under the age of legal majority should use YafOne with the knowledge and guidance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental authorisation. If you believe this has occurred, contact us so we can investigate and delete the information where required.

9. External links and services

YafOne may link to external websites or applications, such as WhatsApp or other educational resources. Those services have their own privacy practices. Information is shared with an external service only when you choose to open or interact with it, subject to that service's terms and privacy policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when YafOne's features, data practices or legal obligations change. The latest version will remain available at this URL, and the effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or application where appropriate.
